Experience

Elise is a home chef, recipe developer and food influencer. She enjoys experimenting with different flavors and techniques and sharing the results with her thousands (and thousands) of followers on TikTok and Instagram.

Her cooking experience spans decades, beginning in her Grandma Jan's kitchen, where she watched in awe as everyday meals became events complete with individual desserts. Elise helped her mother re-create recipes from Taste of Home in the '80s and '90s, and now she takes pride in sharing the joy of cooking with her own family.

Outside Taste of Home, Elise is chasing after her young daughter and son and attending University of Cincinnati basketball games in support of her husband. You can also find her tending to the family's "pizza garden" or watching '90s movies.

Articles & Recipes

Elise Jesse’s Chimichurri

This bright and zesty chimichurri packs a punch of fresh flavor. Made with chile peppers, parsley, oregano and cilantro, it’s a bold, herbaceous sauce that instantly elevates anything it touches. Drizzle it over grilled meats, veggies or even roasted potatoes for the ultimate flavor boost—you’ll never go back to plain condiments again. —Elise Jesse, Cincinnati, Ohio

Elise Jesse’s Pineapple Habanero Dip

This sweet and spicy pineapple habanero dip is a dupe for the popular Costco dip that's only sold in the summertime. Over here, we think this dip should be served all year long, so I had to recreate it. It’s a bold and creamy blend that’s perfect for parties, game days or any time you’re craving something with a kick to snack on. Fresh pineapple brings tropical brightness, while fiery habanero peppers add just the right amount of heat. Serve this dip warm with pita chips or veggies. —Elise Jesse, Cincinnati, Ohio

Elise Jesse’s Apple Bourbon Barbecue Sliders

These apple bourbon barbecue sliders are everything you want in a comfort food recipe as you transition into fall. Each bite packs a smoky, sweet, tangy punch and is dripping with melty cheese. This set-it-and-forget-it meal starts with a chuck roast slow-cooked to tender perfection in a bold barbecue sauce. After six hours of slow simmering, the meat practically falls apart. The sliders are brushed with garlic-herb butter, broiled to golden perfection, and truly irresistible. They're perfect for game day, parties or when you need a good comfort meal, but don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen. —Elise Jesse, Cincinnati, Ohio
